Center for Euro-Atlantic Studies (CEAS) from Belgrade is organizing an international conference "8th Belgrade NATO Week – THIS IS US " (summer edition) which will be held on 21st and 22nd July 2020.
This conference is a part of the regular CEAS annual project Belgrade NATO Week, which has enjoyed the support of the NATO Public Diplomacy Division since its inception eight years ago.
The key topics of this year's conference are: Presentation of the results of public opinion polls - NATO, USA, EU, Serbia; Presentation of the results of the media monitoring of reporting on NATO, the election campaign and the state of emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic; Analysis of the Serbia and NATO cooperation; Analysis of the implementation of the second cycle of the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP); The importance of regional cooperation in responding to emergency situations.
During the conference, the results of the latest public opinion poll conceived by CEAS for needs of this years’ Belgrade NATO Week on the topics of NATO, USA, EU, Kosovo, Serbia, will be presented for the first time.
So far, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić; General of the Serbian Armed Forces (SAF), Chief of General Staff Milan Mojsilović; KFOR Commander Major General Michele Risi; Ambassador of the United States in Serbia, Anthony Godfrey; the Executive Vice President of the Atlantic Council of the USA, Damon Wilson; the Permanent Rapporteur of the European Parliament for Serbia, Vladimír Bilčík; the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Serbia, Gilles Beschoor Plug ; and the National Assembly Deputy Speaker of the Republic of Serbia Vladimir Marinkovic have confirmed their participation.
This year's conference is supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Belgrade, NATO Public Diplomacy Division and NATO Military Liaison Office Belgrade.
The working languages of the conference will be Serbian and English. Simultaneous translation is provided.
