H.E. Yahel Vilan
Ambassador, Embassy of Israel to Serbia
Since September 2020, H.E. Jahel Villan has been the Ambassador of Israel to the Republic of Serbia and a non-resident Ambassador to Montenegro. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political science from Tel Aviv University, as well as a master’s degree in security studies, also from Tel Aviv University. He was part of the course for cadets of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before he became ambassador to Serbia, he was the director of the Department of East and South Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem. He was also ambassador to Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi and the Seychelles. He worked as Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Israel in India, Poland, and Hungary. He worked as a charge d'affaires at the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam and the Democratic Republic of Congo. He was Deputy Director of the Export Control Department, Advisor to the Northeast Asia Department, as well as First Secretary of the Palestine Department and Second Secretary of the Northeast Asia Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem.
