Professional experience in the European Institutions: As from 16 April 2016: Deputy Director-General – Directorate General Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR); 01/2011 – 11/2015: Deputy Secretary-General - European External Action Service (EEAS) - Responsible for Common Security and Defence Policy, security policy and conflict prevention, development policy, human rights and democracy, relations with European Parliament.
